Julie Edmonds

 

Julie is an Associate Employment Lawyer at Loch Associates. Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005, Julie worked as a Paralegal in the Personal Injury department at MTA Solicitors LLP.  Since qualification, Julie has specialised in employment law and represented Claimants and Respondents in tribunals as well as providing HR support and advice internally at MTA Solicitors where she managed a team of solicitors, trainees and paralegals.

Julie’s extensive employment law experience includes advising employers and employees on the following issues:

  • Unfair Dismissal
  • Discrimination
  • Breach of Contract
  • Unlawful Deduction from wages
  • Redundancy
  • TUPE
  • Whistleblowing
  • Rights based on Part Time or Fixed Term status

 

 Julie also advises on day to day employment and HR issues including:

  • reviewing and drafting HR policies and procedures
  • disciplinary action & grievances
  • contracts of employment
  • compromise agreements
  • redundancy procedures and TUPE consultations

 Julie recognises the individual needs of each client on both a commercial and personal level and identifies the most appropriate way forward for them. She also regularly contributes to articles on the practical implications of employment law in both local and national press.
